May’s $5 Quilt Pattern of the Month: Hoo’s There?

I’m so excited to kick off something new at Lamb Farm Designs: our $5 Pattern of the Month series! Each month, I’ll feature a fun, affordable quilt pattern that’s perfect for when you need a quick finish or want to use up some fabric from your stash.

Our first pattern in this new series is Hoo’s There? A playful owl quilt that’s fat quarter friendly, confident beginner friendly, and just plain fun to make.

This quilt features rows of wide-eyed owls with simple sashing between, making it a fast and satisfying finish. I originally designed it as a Halloween bonus project for Ghoulish Tidings, but it was just too cute to keep tucked away. With spooky fabrics, it makes a fun seasonal wall hanging. In soft pastels or bright colors, it’s just right for a baby quilt or year-round throw.

And let’s be honest, the owls’ big eyes make me smile every time. Who knows, maybe if you hang it outside, it’ll scare off the birds in your garden. (Just kidding… mostly.)
